Historical Context and Purpose
The war in Vietnam was a significant time in the United States for its impact on communism, countering U.S. policies of containment when Vietnam would eventually become a completely communist country when North Vietnamese eventually overtook South Vietnamese were abandoned by the United States, demoralized over such events as the Tet Offensive and their own actions including the My Lai Massacre, which the U.S. responded to by slowly leaving South Vietnam to fight for itself. This site has been built to analyze the different military campaigns by the Vietcong as well as United States and if it was necessary for U.S. involvement in Vietnam.
Military policiesThe primary goal of this website is to identify all military campaigns carried out from both the United States and from the Vietcong in the Vietnam War. Also included is the significance of these events on the troops and how the conditioning of the troops played a far more significant factor on the war than what it would appear.
